San Juan

"During our annual visit to San Juan, we happened onto the Plaza de la Libertad in the Condado section. The structure sits dormant and in need of love, repair and respect of local citizenry. There seems to have been several agencies and foundations looking to renovate or dismantle the amphitheater in recent past. I asked myself, 'what an opportunity we have here.'" — Bob Byer, Creative

Every event we produce is a step toward something greater — a living, breathing fundraiser fueling the amphitheater's rebirth. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is a landmark. We start where it counts: power washing decades of neglect, stripping the grime, and laying fresh paint on walls that deserve to shine again. From there — new interior build-outs, upgraded electrical and structural systems, tightened security, and finally, a brand new performance stage worthy of the culture it will carry.

Perched at the mouth of the famed Condado, a reborn Plaza de la Libertad has the power to become so much more than a venue — it becomes a heartbeat. Imagine local musicians taking the stage on a Friday evening, young dancers performing for their families, poets commanding a mic under the open sky. A renovated amphitheater here is a gathering place where San Juan's arts community finds its voice, where culture is celebrated rather than forgotten, and where every generation — from the elders who remember its glory to the children who will define its future — feels a sense of belonging. This is what community infrastructure looks like when it's done right.
